Definition of a Novice

A bona fide member of a club affiliated to Bowls South Africa, having been registered as a member of any National Bowling Association for not more than three (3) years at the date of the commencement of the specific event, is considered a novice. Any bowler having won a National, Provincial, District or Club Singles Championship shall not be eligible to be viewed as a novice.
